Q:
What is the Rocky Hill Enrichment Program About?
Great Questions!
A: An enrichment coordinator works with administrators, teachers and parent volunteers to bring programming to schools that complement the curriculum goals set by the district. Enrichment can take many forms: after-school clubs, in-school and out-of-school field trips, visiting authors, resident artists and more. In Rocky Hill, the enrichment coordinator works to bring programming to all grades and all subject areas.
The enrichment coordinator writes Good News Grams, Board of Education reports and maintains a district Calendar of Enrichment Events.
The Rocky Hill Public Schools instituted a grants program in 1991 to support enrichment endeavors and it is called Explore and Soar. Teachers are encouraged to apply for these grants twice a year. Explore and Soar seeks to bring quality enrichment programming to all of the students in the Rocky Hill Public Schools.
