Add/Drop Schedule Changes
The add/drop period is the first five days of school, so all schedules should be finalized by the end of day on Friday 9/3/10. Please make an appointment with your counselor during a free period to make any changes to your schedule.
YOG 2011 - College Information
Class of 2011 students were given the opportunity to learn Naviance, an online resource for colleges and careers. Please see your counselor if you were unable to attend your assigned session to receive login information.
Counselors will meet with seniors within the first few weeks of school to review the college application process.
Guidance Mission Statement
Our mission as a Guidance Department is to systematically provide guidance and counseling to all students in order to facilitate Academic, Personal, Social and Career Development. We believe that our students should acquire this knowledge while appreciating individual and cultural diversity, so that they may become contributing members of a democratic society. The Guidance Program is an integral part of the total educational process. Rocky Hill High School has a comprehensive program that focuses on three domains which are sequential and developmentally appropriate.

Philosophy of the Counseling Department
The best predictor of success in adulthood is success in childhood and adolescence. The more successful Rocky Hill High School students can become, the better chance they will have for future success. The goal of the counselors is to assist all students in making the most of their talents so that they may be successful in all areas of their lives: academics, interpersonal relationships, and decision-making. To further these goals, the department provides Academic, Career, and Personal Counseling and Guidance for all students.
