Minutes of Meeting

 

 

A special meeting of the Facilities Committee of the Rocky Hill Board of Education was held on Thursday, March 17, 2005, in the superintendent's conference room.  Present were:  J. Kirk Bostwick, Peter Arico, Anne Schmidt, Nadine Bell, Director of Finance & Operations Gregory P. Turansky, and Supt. of Schools Dr. J. A. Camille Vautour.  The meeting was called to order at 6:15 p.m.

 

Capital Projects 2005-06

With respect to prioritizing the capital projects’ list previously forwarded to Mr. Cooke, the committee members indicated they would like to see previously started projects completed.  Additionally, whenever possible they would like to see projects linked.  For example, when ordering the carpet for West Hill, could it be coupled with the carpet needed at the high school?  Dr. Vautour was asked to convey this info to Mr. Cooke.

 

Feasibility Study

Mr. Bostwick indicated that Mr. Cooke has identified three architectural firms and has interviewed them.  In the near future, these three firms will submit proposals to Mr. Cooke for review.  Mr. Bostwick indicated his belief that the Facilities Committee, in conjunction with the Government Operations Committee, will have input on the selection of the firm to do the feasibility study.
